Recap from the Christian Artists Conference/Workshop at the Box R Ranch in Ashland Oregon from May 5-9. 

I had a wonderful time in Ashland this past week at the conference......It was huge success, and there was alot of inspiration and great painting.......see my blog for a full description.  I urge everyone to think about attending next year....... 

 See the February 2009 issue of Western Art Collector Magazine. They did an article that covered the show at The Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale on Feb 12th, 2009 with Michael and artist Kristi Melaine.  See pg. 94.

Michael was just granted Signature membership status by the Oil Painters of America. Thanks to the OPA. He hopes to have a new painting entered into the National Show that will be held in Sante Fe, NM at the Sage Creek Gallery, opening May 1, 2009.

Michael had a great trip to Jackson Hole, WY in August for the “Visions of the West Show” at the Legacy. Thanks to Greg Beecham and Stephen Banks for their hospitality and help in Dubois, WY. This fall, Michael will be creating a large body of work for his show in Scottsdale at the Legacy Gallery. The date for the opening is February 12th, 2009.
