In 1999 I was commissioned by Zondervan to illustrate the second chapter of the book of Luke for a Christmas book called “Good News of Great Joy”. there were 11 original oil paintings with a 12th added in 2007 (a painting of the 3 kings which is described in the book of Matthew, not in Luke). They are all 24”h x 40”w with exception of number 11 which is 28”h x 24”w. The entire collection was on loan to the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas, TX from 2009 to 2021 and was their most popular display during the Christmas season. The whole series is now owned by Illume Gallery West in Philipsburg, MT and will be displayed each Christmas Season in their gallery.
